Strength doesn't come from physical capacity, it comes from an indomitable determination which should be the spirit amongst the Youth. The NSS objective is energetic and continuous striving for social upliftment and also a source of reducing stress by causing happiness for people around.

The activities undertaken by NSS volunteers is disseminating information about latest developments in nutrition, personal hygiene, environmental enrichment including awareness amongst the masses for the rights and status of women and children, promoting Cooperative societies, spreading non formal education; assistance to local authorities in relief and rehabilitation during National calamities etc.

The Officers of NSS Mahatma Gandhi Central University of Motihari has monitored the complete functioning and waged a significant impulse in the National Service Scheme throughout the academic session under normal activities programme of the prescribed period of 120 hours of Social Service.

The Philosophy of National Service Scheme is well doctrined in its motto " Not me but you ", which underlines on the divine belief system that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the community.

The National Service Scheme logo also portrays the cycle of creation, preservation and release which signifies the movement in life across time and space and stands for continuity.

Aimed at developing students personality through community service, the cardinal objective being Nation Building.

This objective is sought to be achieved by developing in the students a sense of social responsibility and patriotism, by identifying the requirements of the society and involving in problem solving process initiating civic responsibility.

Active, energetic and high spirited youth's involvement in the most appropriate direction, with regular activities including functional literacy, formal education, environmental education, social drives, first aid awareness program, traffic management, skill development preservation of our basic ancient culture, and disaster management.
